Executor Removal
Response Check
Someone wants you removed as executor. Organise the facts, identify what needs addressing and consider what would help the estate progress.
A practical starting point
This check looks at the estate and the beneficiaries as a whole. It does not decide the case or replace individual legal advice.
Check any court papers or urgent deadlines promptly. Completing this check does not pause a deadline.
The interactive check needs JavaScript. If it does not load, use the six evidence questions in the removal guide.
Before you start
1. What work remains?
2. What is the complaint?
3. Were you appointed in the will?
4. What do the beneficiaries want?
5. Can the present arrangements work?
6. What is the replacement plan?
Your Removal Response Summary
Based on your answers. No documents have been reviewed. This summary does not establish fault, confirm your response is adequate or predict whether you will remain in office.
Review all your answers
Would an individual review help?
Stage 01 includes review of up to 20 selected pages, a 30-minute consultation with Justin Patten, solicitor, and a two-page Action Plan.
Fixed fee: £400 + VAT (£480 including VAT). The plan is normally delivered within three working days after the consultation and receipt of all required documents, whichever is later.
Any further work requires a separately agreed scope and fixed fee, with your written approval before it begins. Human Law does not conduct contested removal proceedings or act on the court record.
Enquire about Stage 01 → An enquiry does not commit you to payment. Do not wait for a review if papers or an urgent risk require prompt advice.
Optional notes: use a short factual description; avoid names or confidential detail. Answers stay in this page, are not saved automatically and are not sent with an enquiry. Copies you download remain under your control. Standard website analytics may still load.
Understand the position before responding
The full removal guide explains the legal framework, accounts issues, court papers and costs. If you are responding to financial allegations, also read the executor misconduct guide.
